New Brighton Memorial Day Triathlon

Sponsored by the New Brighton Area Recreation Commission, the annual triathlon returns in 2026 on Saturday, May 23. The event begins at the New Brighton High School at 8:00 AM and includes a 300M swim at the Sunrise Pool, an 18KM cycle through Pulaski Township and Daugherty Township, and a 5KM run through New Brighton Borough. The 2026 Memorial Triathlon is again sanctioned as a USA Triathlon, having met all necessary prerequisites to accomplish this strict achievement, including increased security, staffing of emergency medical service personnel, enrollment of ample volunteers to direct participants, and increased safety at transition areas
